A £400m leisure, health sport and education resort on a 300-acre site, Peak Resort will be a major visitor attraction on the boundary of the Peak District National Park.
The all-year tourism destination will be open to day and staying visitors, offering all-weather activities, events and retail. With private and public finance in place, development build is underway.
The resort will be built in three phases and is forecast to create more than 1,300 new jobs. The site includes a golf course, woodland and open countryside, and will be at the leading edge of eco-technology.
Construction is now underway and, once complete the project will create:
- Dome structures providing climate-controlled water sports, adventure and leisure facilities
- Medical spa
- Woodland lodges, holiday apartments, hotel and hostel units
- 300 acres of park and woodland incorporating walking and cycling trails
