The Range to open distribution centre in Doncaster

The Range is opening a 750,000 sq. ft. Northern Distribution Centre in Thorne, Doncaster which will provide over 350 direct jobs in the area.

The Range

Situated at the former DHL site at Nimbus park, the new centre will help to support the existing store network as well as providing the infrastructure for further Northern stores and a planned expansion in to Scotland.

The total number of Range stores reached 59 across the UK by the end of 2011. 20 more stores are planned by the end of 2012 as they continue to grow more and more.

Invest in Doncaster has worked with the range for a number of months, assisting them with the identification of sites, demographic information and general information on the local economy as well as identifying areas of financial support.

The Range sells more than 65,000 quality products across 16 departments including DIY, Homewares, Furniture, Lighting, Arts & Crafts and Garden. They are well known for their mid-price home, leisure and garden products and have just about everything a stylish home would want at affordable prices.
